The eternal debate in the mountain bike community about being “overbiked” versus “underbiked” – it’s legit and where you land usually depends on where you ride, and how hard you shred. For most riders, the bike they’re riding is enough – until it’s not. Consider this bike as trail insurance – to cover your ass when things get steep, gnarly and fast – and we mean all of the above.
On paper, that 63.5-degree head angle and 150mm-travel front end might appear to be overkill. But when the ride starts to push your limits, you’d rather focus on how to max out the fun factor than second-guess whether or not your bike is the right weapon for killing the game. That slack front end, and a new 325mm BBH (V.2), are matched with a 75.4-degree seat tube angle, so you’re sat just right for all the climbing you’re gonna do to reach your bucket-list trails. And then it’s all downhill from there, as the saying goes – our first 29″-specific design feels so planted that your moves will feel more instinctual than intentional.
V2 Changes:
Brand New Tubing (Same as the MiddleChild Steel) - The result is a 150g weight saving and a more compliant frame
BBH has been raised by 8mm - It allows to run either a 140mm fork with 2.6 tires or 27.5x3.0 with a 160mm fork
Internal cable routing inside the downtube has been removed and is now external routing.
New Head Tube sizes across all 4 sizes
